Après une analyse approfondie, Doc Services a pris la décision de ne pas organiser d’édition de Sunny Side of the Doc en 2026. Cette décision difficile mais nécessaire fait suite à une conjonction de facteurs : la perte de la principale subvention européenne et la baisse de soutiens économiques structurants ainsi que des contraintes organisationnelles qui ne permettent plus de proposer un événement à la hauteur des enjeux de l’écosystème audiovisuel mondial.

Ce tournant marque la fin d’un cycle et pourrait être le début d’un nouveau, fondé sur une reconstruction complète.

For over 35 years, Sunny Side of the Doc has brought together the international documentary community to co-finance projects, elevate new voices and foster meaningful connections across the industry.

After careful consideration, Doc Services has decided not to hold Sunny Side of the Doc in 2026. This difficult but necessary decision results from a combination of factors: the loss of its main European grant, a decline in key financial support, as well as organisational constraints that make it impossible to deliver an event that meets the expectations and challenges of today’s global audiovisual ecosystem.

This turning point marks the end of one cycle and may be the beginning of a new one, conceived as a complete reconstruction.
