A story of leadership, legacy, and resistance.
Along the coast of Belize, one of the world’s most extraordinary natural treasures is under threat. The Belize Barrier Reef — a UNESCO World Heritage Site — is not only an ecological wonder, but the backbone of entire coastal communities.
Wealth Untold follows a powerful, multigenerational network of women leaders standing on the front line to protect it. Facing environmental degradation, economic pressure and political inertia, they fight to preserve both the reef and the livelihoods that depend on it.
The film explores environmental justice, female leadership and the hidden cost of so-called “development”. A timely, visually striking and globally relevant story for audiences engaged with climate, sustainability and social impact.
At Truly Good, we are genuinely excited about the opportunity to represent this remarkable documentary internationally and to help bring its story to audiences around the world.

Produced over four years by a team of independent filmmakers and ocean advocates, WEALTH UNTOLD has screened at major international events, including the Belize International Film Festival (World Premiere, November 2024), the United Nations Ocean Conference (International Premiere, June 2025), and the Newport Beach Film Festival (North American Premiere, October 2025). The film was also recently selected for inclusion in the 2025-2026 International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam (IDFA) Docs for Sale Catalogue, one of the documentary industry’s leading marketplaces.

Après une analyse approfondie, Doc Services a pris la décision de ne pas organiser d’édition de Sunny Side of the Doc en 2026. Cette décision difficile mais nécessaire fait suite à une conjonction de facteurs : la perte de la principale subvention européenne et la baisse de soutiens économiques structurants ainsi que des contraintes organisationnelles qui ne permettent plus de proposer un événement à la hauteur des enjeux de l’écosystème audiovisuel mondial.
Ce tournant marque la fin d’un cycle et pourrait être le début d’un nouveau, fondé sur une reconstruction complète.

For over 35 years, Sunny Side of the Doc has brought together the international documentary community to co-finance projects, elevate new voices and foster meaningful connections across the industry.
After careful consideration, Doc Services has decided not to hold Sunny Side of the Doc in 2026. This difficult but necessary decision results from a combination of factors: the loss of its main European grant, a decline in key financial support, as well as organisational constraints that make it impossible to deliver an event that meets the expectations and challenges of today’s global audiovisual ecosystem.
This turning point marks the end of one cycle and may be the beginning of a new one, conceived as a complete reconstruction.
